This wood is a natural for my work; it stars its endgrain. I use it for the ovals in the Hawaiin Bouquet jewelry box. It's hard, heavy, and expensive, from places like Bali, and I'm told it's a nightmare to turn. But what endgrain! Like lizard-skin.
