Custom Countertops in various styles             This is one of a matched pair of countertops I built for a dentist's office. The center wood is a 1/16" thick veneer of curly maple I resawed from a large plank, enough to do both countertops. The darker wood is Santos mahogany (not a true Mahogany, and a very tough dense and lustrous wood). It too, is thick veneer I cut and matched to the maple, with 3/32 thick edge pieces, the front bent to match the curved in this case.
