This medium sized jewelry box features finely cut dovetails, and a decorative top highlighted by a center panel of wildly curly koa, framed in mango with ebony accent lines. The top is made by slicing a solid wood block into"thick" veneers, at about 1/16" almost three times the thickness of commercial sliced veneer. The sliding half-width tray houses a two-slot ring pad. Beneath the tray are two dividers running front to back near each end, and an easily removable grid of dividers in the center, perfect for earrings and other small items.
