Inlaid Wedding Box
This custom built wooden box is built to store wine from a couple's wedding to be sampled at some later date. Hence the double key and heart motif. This is walnut with pink ivorywood heart inlay in front and satinwood inlay on top.
Inlaid Silverware Chest
Here's a good example of fine inlay work, the clients name in ebony on this claro walnut silverware chest, a favorite combination.
Inlaid Silver Initials Box
This was on of the stranger custom boxes I"ve made. The box is a gift for the client's father, and I'd rather not reveal what it's designed to hold, but it has some interesting features that were some what of a technical challenge to achieve, with the request for very heavily rounded edges, and a no reveal, frame and panel top. Inlaid silver monogram, and beautiful Brusso stainless steel catch on a wenge box.
Inlaid Bow Jewelry Box
Here the client requested an inlay of a bow, done in satinwood on an ebony field. They admired the joinery of our arts-and-crafts style jewelry box. The case of this custom jewelry box is made from sapele.

Custom Inlaid Ring Presentation Box
This box was made in response to the clients request for a
humidor sized box to present a very special ring to his wife,
and to serve
as a commodious storage space for it and other jewelry objects.
The inlay is derived from the cut of the jewels in the ring, as
shown on customer furnished photo. The box is bubinga, with
ebony, satinwood,
and bubinga inlays. See next frame for interior.
Hawaiian Bouquet Jewelry Box
Here's a detail shot of the box open showing the ring storage bubinga "jewel" that also serves as a knob for lifting the full sized tray to reveal further storage below. Close-up reveals the inlaid ebony escutcheon plate. The client's response: "The box is PERFECT. I am very impressed with your work and very much appreciate the ton of effort and detail that went into this box."
Inlaid Skull box
This was a commission for a 25th anniversary present from a woman to her husband. She wanted a pirate themed box. The claro walnut case is highlighted by ebony banding on the top edge, and maple skull and cross boxes into an ebony "flag". See the enlargement to appreciate the engraved and grain detail of the birds-eye.
Inlaid Raven Jewelry Box
Here's a special inlaid version of my bubinga inlaid banding box. The woman, named Raven, wanted an inlaid raven and I adapted this image from a photograph, with her ebony monogram inlaid into the holly moon. With claro walnut sky, silver stars, and koa mountain. Ebony, bird-in-flight escutheon .
Chrysanthemum Inlay Jewelry Box
A very intricate inlay of a stylized flower highlights this customized box. Ebony, holly, satinwood, bloodwood, mape, and pink ivorywood center. This was a challenging inlay, and I was skeptical it would be worth the work, but it turned out beautifully, and really made for an extraordinary box, a perfect gift for an American's Asian wife.
Inlaid Zodaic Box
Inside of top view shows the quadrant hinges I've been using more lately. The inside of the box has a detailed astrological chart engraved and painted gold.
