Custom Cherry Silverware Chest;
This is one of a set on nine matching custom dovetailed silverware chests, all cut from the same curly cherry flitch (a set of boards milled from the same tree, and kept in order of successive cuts for optimal color and grain matching). The client owns an enormous family heirloom set of silverware, and these chests feature divider blocks designed to house the actual pieces he owns. The chests are sized to all fit in the clients safe. All the interior surfaces are lined with Pacific silvercloth. We used hardware of the client's choosing, and the inset brass pulls allow one to pull the chests out of the safe and easily lift them. There were three different case configurations we used for these silverware chests. The chests were designed to hold well over 1500 pieces of silverware.
Custom Cherry Silverware Chest;
Open shot of the one drawer version of the cherry chests.. All interior surfaces are covered with tarnish resistant Pacific Silvercloth. As in this chest, I can custom configure the spacing of the blocks and width of the apertures to fit your collection. This case uses through dovetailed construction for a more traditional look. These cases will be passed down along with the heirloom quality silverware they hold for generations.
Custom Cherry Silverware Chest;

Here's another box's interior. The best way for me to fit pieces like this is to be sent the actual pieces, but if you're reluctant to do that we can work with photos and measurements to make a box that will work.
Hawaiian Bouquet Jewelry Box
Since koa has such bold and variable figure, it's especially important to match grain, and select wood carefully. My koa boxes are often made by re-sawing a piece long enough for one short side and one long side, and so I get a perfect grain match all the way around, with two book-matched corners, and two simple continuations of the grain. Pictured is a book-matched corner.
