Smaller Jewelry Boxes

All our handmade jewelry boxes contain features that match exquisite form with the most user friendly function. Some of our larger boxes feature innovative necklace and earring storage provisions. We use the world's most beautiful hardwoods, --koa, cherry, walnut, quilted maple, bird's eye maple,  bubinga --often with ebony inlays. We have jewelry boxes at a wide range of prices, so you should be able to find the perfect solution, whether you seek an  expensive  jewelry box for a special anniversary present, or a more modest gift for a young girl's first jewelry box. Many of our jewelry chests can be customized, with inlaid or engraved monograms, or more elaborate inlays, or we can make you a completely custom jewelry box for an additional fee.

Ring Boxes and Small Boxes

I have a special fondness for making ring boxes, as their tiny size presents both challenges and opportunities as a woodworker, and they often serve such a special role in the recipient's and their loved one's lives. A handcrafted  wooden engagement ring box is the perfect presentation to convey the care that sets apart a special moment. Some  purchase our handmade ring boxes to have a beautiful place to store a ring when it's not being worn. Our boxes aren't merely a block of wood with a hole in it, but are tiny little frame and panel mitred boxes. I can customize your ring box with an inlay or an engraving, or make you a custom ring box.

Jewelry Cabinets

We make both wall hung  jewelry cabinets, and  vanity top  cabinets, as well as  custom made  cabinets of all kinds. Our handcrafted jewelry cabinets are exquisite, and built for generations of use. They also match form with function, with features such as slide out pivoting panels for hanging necklaces and earrings, or an  option for a  lock that  can lock a  box with multiple drawers with a single key. Cabinets present perfect canvasses for either fancy inlays or remarkably beautiful exotic figured hardwoods. I usually have a jewelry cabinet or two ready to ship, or I can work with you to create a custom made jewelry cabinet for the ultimate in luxury and personalized beauty.This cabinet is featured in the August  2013 issue of  Fine Woodworking magazine, in the Readers gallery.

Cutting Boards and Chopping Blocks

We make  solid wood cutting boards, most with end grain cutting surfaces, featuring hardwoods, such as maple, oak, walnut, cherry, and some exotic woods, like jatoba and wenge. These are the most beautiful ornate, yet functional cutting boards made in the US, and they have been selling in the finest craft galleries in the country, and gracing kitchens both country and urban, for over thirty  years. Most  of our handmade  cutting boards feature an end grain surface that is both durable and kind to your cutlery, and their portability makes them extremely functional, and a delight to use.

Silverware chests and Cabinets

We make custom silverware chests  and  cabinets, from small custom boxes made for a pair of serving pieces, all the way up to freestanding floor chests capable of holding service for 50.  All are lined with Pacific Silvercloth to minimize tarnish. Unlike cheap mass produced boxes, ours are built for the ages, and can be  custom fitted specifically for your silverware collection. Walnut is our favorite wood for silverware boxes, but cherry, and many others are possible. A custom silverware box  adds elegance to your dining room and stores your heirloom silverware securely and efficiently. Your custom made silverware chest can be a simple  construction from beautiful, carefully selected hardwood, or fitted with inlays or engraving specially for you.

Custom Boxes

I spend many months of the year making custom wood boxes of all kinds, taking on challenges  far beyond the abilities of  woodworkers without specialized box making experience. I've made  custom wooden boxes for, to name a few -- books, knives, guns, necklaces, earrings, cufflinks, awards, letters, crosses, ceremonial oils, cards, and  a few things I can't even mention! We've made  bespoke boxes for retiring board of director members for large corporations, and custom boxes for christening presents for those whose achievements lie way in the future. I've built custom made boxes with inlays, french fitted boxes, custom carved boxes, carefully fitted boxes for the most delicate of objects, or  crafted to convey the most delicate of sentiments.

Bookmarkers and Ornaments

We make beautiful inexpensive gifts, so that visitors to our shop can buy something for those special little gift giving occasions that always spring up. Our bookmarkers are made with the same care and precision as our  most expensive jewelry boxes,  and are a natural gift for high school or college graduations. Our wooden Christmas ornaments are a delight to hold and decorate the tree with, with  old world craftsmanship, quality and uniqueness at a price affordable to anyone.
